New album "Bits to the Wall" out now!

October 11, 2011Posted by Thomas

New album "Bits to the Wall" is out now and can be found in the downloads section. You can stream the full album for free as much as you want or get the lossless quality downloadable version for the ridiculous minimum price of 1$. The Nostalgic Pleasure album has limited amounts of free downloads left so don’t forget to downloads that one aswell if you missed it!

Every $ made from this album will fund my very much needed upgrade in recording equipment and supporting me as an independent recording artist and producer. I have no desire to steal all your hard earned money and as this small amount will affect your economy very little it will be a huge contribution to Thunderclash. Thanks for your support!

Feel free to use my songs in any of your game music videos/trailers or whatever, as long as you credit me for it and send me a link with your awesome final product. That way I’ll promote you and you’ll promote me and we will all live in perfect harmony!

Cheers!

Nostalgic Pleasure 5/5 on NerdyShow.com

What really catches my attention is how unprecedented some of the mashups are, especially for video game metal, a community that I fear often times play really close to originals, focusing on the metal. This is probably the element about Thunderclash that compelled me to write this review, how he seems to just mold so many different songs and memories with such little ease into something that can stand out amongst so many other video game metal covers out there. Another reason I really fell so hard for this album is that it rekindled an old feeling in me that was why I started Nerdapalooza and got involved in Nerdy Show in the first place: to find new nerdy music and share it with the world. Somehow, Thunderclash has made tributes to songs that I love, and put them on new pedestals in a way that brought a big ole’ dorky grin to my face. I hope you enjoy the album as much as I have.

Work in Progress:

Here a little update on what I'm working on for the next release. Thunderclash will go further beyond the world of video games to all other kinds of nostalgia. I joined forces with the local choir for my musical arrangement of the Swedish 80-ies film, Ronja Rövardotter. It's based on the novel by Astrid Lindgren. It's a medieval tale of Ronja, the rebellious daughter of Mattis, chief of a band of robbers. The film's music score from 1984 was composed by Björn Isfält and features some famous swedish singers such as Tommy Körberg. You can expect a badass mixture of heavy metal and folk/choir singing on this one!
